Why Use Two Bearings When You Can Use Just One?

Two new series of crossed roller bearings from INA are ready-to-fit, compact units that are fitted by means of pre-drilled mounting holes in the bearing rings. The ‘X’ arrangement of the rollers enables the bearings to take any combination of loads; a single bearing can support radial loads, axial loads from both directions and tilting moments. it is thus possible to replace a conventional design, incorporating two bearings, by a more compact and cost-effective arrangement comprising just one bearing. Series XSU pre-loaded bearings, with single-piece inner ring, are available in bore sizes from 150 to 1,024mm, while the series XV, with split inner ring, is available in bore sizes 30 to 110mm. The inner ring can be located on the shaft using INA precision locknuts (types Am and ZM) while the outer ring has fixing holes for screw mounting. Back to Mechanical Components Octoer 2000
