INA FAG launches premium quality standard for bearing ranges
This logo marks INA FAG's commitment to a new premium quality standard,
which will be rolled out across selected INA and FAG bearing ranges and
future products. X-Life quality products benefit from improved design,
materials and machining methods (honing in particular), and result in
longer life, higher load carrying capacity, low-noise operation and
reduced maintenance requirements.
New X-Life rated products include the Elges large spherical (minimum
220mm bore size) plain bearing series with ElgoGlide sliding coating,
which offers a 50% increase in dynamic and static load ratings. The
X-Life rated E1 spherical roller bearing range, with optimised bearing
and roller surfaces now provides a 17% increase in load carrying
capacity, which extends nominal rated life by around 70%. Other products
covered by the premium quality standard include angular contact ball
bearings, cylindrical roller bearings with cages, needle roller bearings
and linear guide systems. These improvements mean that customers can now
choose between enhanced performance with unchanged dimensions, and
unchanged performance with smaller dimensions.
INA FAG's X-Life concept also extends beyond pure product quality issues
to embrace customer training. This covers vital areas such as correct
assembly and service interval determination, as well as correct selection
of lubricants depending upon bearing type and the environment in which it
will operate.
