The Pininfarina Battista: Race to Road

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, set out his objectives for the future of the firm in 2012 when he outlined ambitious targets around its electric vehicle production future.

This was before the FIA Formula E Championship became a reality and several years before India announced its goal of 30 percent EVs by 2030. 

Almost a century earlier, Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina had a dream. He dreamed that one day there would be a Pininfarina badged car on the road, resplendent in his brand’s iconic style and design. 

How these ambitions and dreams have come together is a story of inspiration and aspiration. 

Mahindra is working relentlessly in the EV space to create a full spectrum of products, from a quality, affordable electric car right through to the most prestigious EV on the market.
