Designed in conjunction with several of the world's major food, beverage and pharmaceutical processing companies, Electrix offers many unique products, helping to solve health and safety issues, as well as major hygiene problems.
Typically, enclosures installed in wet areas are fitted with external wall fixings, which add to the never ending list of cleaning problems within the processing industries. Historically, enclosure manufacturers have failed to provide reliable methods of fixing enclosures to walls and machines without having a detrimental effect on the IP Rating and cleaning of the enclosure, resulting in the use of 'difficult to clean' external brackets.
To eliminate the cleaning problems caused by external brackets, many of the enclosures offered by Electrix are manufactured with an innovative method of securing the enclosure to a wall or machine. They incorporate unique internal sealed compartment fixing receptacles, capable of withstanding pressures of up to 1000 PSI, with no loss of IP Rating.
All of the problems associated with fitting and cleaning standard external fixing brackets are thus eliminated.
Chris Thompson, company director, commented: "I know that it may seem a massive overkill, but this is why Electrix remains the market leader in enclosure design for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Many of our products contain these sealed compartment fixing receptacles, which allow our customers to wash their enclosures with ease and confidence, knowing there will be no ingress of water."
The Electrix Design Team has also invented another innovative product, which is available for immediate despatch. After many meetings and conference calls with processing industry leaders, its designers have introduced an IP66 Stainless Steel Enclosure fitted with a Waterproof Interlocked Switch and Industrial Socket.
This new design has been approved by several worldwide processing companies who regard Electrix as their preferred supplier.
Some of the beneficial features of this new enclosure are:
- The sloping roof deflects water and prevents undesirable objects being stored on the surface
- The deep cavity around the front of the enclosure helps to protect the switch and socket from accidental damage
- The switch and socket are CE marked and mechanically interlocked, thus providing a very safe product
- The sealed compartment fixing receptacles eliminate the need for external brackets, whilst maintaining the IP66 Rating
- The enclosures, manufactured in 1.4301 - 304 Stainless Steel, are low maintenance; ideal for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries
- 1.4404 - 316 Stainless Steel enclosures are available on request.
There are currently seven products in this new range from '110V - 3 Poles' to '380-415V - 3-5 Poles'.
