Fag Develops Low-Temperature Spindle Bearings

FAG has developed a new generation of low-temperature spindle bearings that are capable of running at temperatures 10oC lower than the average, leading to possible speed increases of up to 10%. The achievement is attributed to an improvement in lubricant management, leading to a corresponding reduction in friction inside the bearing. The new generation design is available for all FAG spindle bearings, including those with ceramic rolling elements or seals at both ends.
