Poole-based manufacturer supports life-saving ventilator effort

DP Seals Ltd is designing and manufacturing ventilator tooling and parts for Formula 1 team Mclaren.

In response to coronavirus, Prime Minister Boris Johnson called on UK manufacturers to increase the production of ventilators to help save lives. This call has seen an overwhelming response with the government now partnering a number of leading manufacturing and engineering companies rapidly to build existing, modified or newly designed ventilators.

Patient safety remains of paramount importance and any new machines will be tested by expert clinicians and health regulators to ensure they pass all regulatory tests.

Managing Director of DP Seals Andrew Piper said, “I'm really proud in British manufacturing coming together to do our part in fighting this terrible virus and that DP Seals are able to support such an important cause. Our staff have been amazing in adapting to these very difficult circumstances”.
