Compression latch technology, such as that recently introduced in EMKA’s 1000 program, has significant advantages in closure of doors on such diverse equipment as electronic racks, vehicle mounted units, telco cabinets and other industrial electrical/electronic panels. Their low profile, coupled with a lever compression action, not only serves to minimise unit footprint but also enhances closure security in vibration prone applications by virtue of an adjustable clamp action.
The EMKA 1000 program compression latches feature built-in adjustment as well as industry standard key numbering to match or extend existing installations. Locking and non-locking variants are available - each with slightly raised trigger button for easy opening and using the same 86 x 25mm hole, with single mounting screw for speed of installation. Lever adjustment is facilitated by means of a plastic capped screw which also prevents marking and enhances operator compatibility, thus ensuring optimal clamping action to negate the effects of vibration which may otherwise lead to nuisance opening of non-compression locks.
Escutcheon dimensions are only 93 x 34mm with grip ranges available of 1-24mm and 23-46mm to accommodate frames on small boxes or free standing cabinets. Finishes are black powder coat or chrome with other colours on request - all at unusually low prices for commonly requested quantities.
