Araldite 2024 is a two-component, toughened methacrylate adhesive from
Vantico that provides a bond across a diverse group of materials,
including plastics, composites and metals. It copes with gap filling (up
to 8mm) and, post-cure, is tolerant of the high temperatures involved in
many industrial processes, including paint baking applications. The
material is easy to work with, benefiting from room temperature curing
combined with a good working time and fast build up of strength. Wood,
fibreglass, stainless steel and rubber can be bonded by Araldite 2024 to
make high performance snowboards like the one illustrated here.
