Ciba S New High Temperature Resin Goes Under The Bonnet

Ciba's new high temperature resin goes under the bonnet One of the first applications of Ciba's new high temperature resistant rapid prototyping (RP) resin was for the production of under-bonnet components by French RP specialist, Materialise SARL. A new addition to Ciba's 'Parts in Minutes' range, Ureol 5220 A/B withstands temperatures up to 180degC and is resistant to deformation. It is a black system, suitable for the production of automotive parts and domestic appliances. Materialise SARL has used it to produce prototype parts for an automotive water pump and under-bonnet cable ducting.
