Power supply is sealed against harsh environments

Powersolve has introduced the TEX-120 series of industrial power supplies for applications in harsh outdoor environments. The rugged die-cast aluminium housing is water, ice, oil and dust resistant and is approved to IP67 and NEMA4X requirements. Produced by TracoPower, the TEX –120 series also offers a cost efficient power supply solution for industrial automation applications in challenging corrosive environmental conditions.

The power supply’s construction is shock and vibration proof and the units can be mounted in any orientation. Easy installation is provided by waterproof I/O plug connectors. The metal case works as an efficient heatsink allowing operation across ambient temperatures from –40 to +85°C.

The power supplies have universal input of 90 to 264 VAC and are available with 24VDC/5A or 12VDC/8A outputs. The output voltage is regulated and adjustable by an internal potentiometer.

An International safety approval package includes CB scheme, IEC/UL 60950-1 and UL508 listing for industrial control equipment. The power supplies are also approved to ATEX 94/9/EC and IEC Ex for Class l, Div.2 applications in hazardous locations.
