Robust inductive proximity sensors for the metalworking industry

Designed for areas where metal parts are unavoidably in contact with the proximity sensors, the new stailess steel housed Robust (R) series from ifm electronic features a long-lasting, anti-spatter coating. This coating is so good that weld spatter bounces off or can be wiped away with a finger. These new sensors are available in M12, M18 and M30 versions with sensing ranges of 4mm, 6mm and 12mm respectively. Thoroughly tested on an impact and abrasion simulator, the R series will last significantly longer than conventional sensors, and the coating will also withstand abrasion for longer than conventional coatings, according to ifm.
