Pacific Simplicity self-lubricating bearings, which are available in the
UK from Hepco Slide Systems, have no metal-to-metal contact and, unlike
ball bushings, are suitable for applications in both contaminated areas
and clean rooms. Comprising a base unit with twin integral shafts, and an
aluminium carriage with quiet-running FrelonGold bearing liners, the
complete system is hard-coat anodised to provide a corrosion resistant
running surface. A range of metric sizes is able to carry loads of up to
680kg at a maximum speed of 1.5m/s.
