Aluminium Frame Elements Speed Linear System Building

HepcoMotion recently undertook a machine building project for Vascutek, a manufacturer of vascular grafting materials. These have to be precisely stretched, so that the material structure allows for greater graft incorporation compared with traditional closed pore systems. Central to the winding machine that undertakes this process is a linear motion system, the mechanical elements of which were assembled by HepcoMotion using several of its core linear product lines. These compatible elements included an MCS aluminium frame, which facilitated the rapid integration of a DLS timing belt driven system and type GV3 slide-ways. The company provided Vascutek with a turnkey system, fitted with motor, gearbox, pushbutton controls and operator display.
