A 50mm wide belt drive has extended the capacity of HepcoMotion's DLS
range of belt driven linear transmission systems. The new DLS5 is based
on a compact aluminium beam of up to 6m in length, fitted with one of
Hepco's GV3 precision ground slides. The carriage has a maximum load of
10,000N, but larger loads can be carried on multiple carriages running on
a single beam. Suitable for use in single or double axis gantries, the
DLS5 delivers a driving force of 2,450N and speeds of up to 6m/s. A
number of features ensure long life and ease of maintenance, including
brush seals, end-of-stroke buffers and easily accessible belt tension
adjustment.
