In addition to launching several new products, Hepco Slide Systems will
take the opportunity afforded by the show to publicise its new
partnership with electronic motion control specialist, SmartDrive. The
new agreement between the two companies is expected to open up new
application sectors for each of them. Traditionally, motor-driven slides
have found application in the general industrial sector, but the
combination of Hepco's lightweight PDU2 system and the accurate control
provided by SmartDrive's Taranis DSP-based stepper drive/controller,
makes the new package attractive for applications requiring more
precision.
Also showing for the first time are Hepco's TS telescopic ball bearing
slides and the new Ball Screw Premier series. These new ball screws can
provide a high-precision version of Hepco's compact rack-driven Z-axis in
tandem with the new Heavy Duty Compact Beam. This novel aluminium profile
offers high capacity in combination with low weight and small size.
