Using Hepco’s new heavy duty driven linear system (HDLS), designers can
now build high speed, position controlled belt-driven systems that are
suitable for use in the toughest of industrial environments. These
applications have traditionally been served by recirculating type
products, which are maintenance-intensive and susceptible to failure if
the operating conditions are unfavourable. The HDLS has a vee-guide
system, which is maintenance free thanks to the natural wiping action of
the bearing on the slide - a performance that is enhanced by
low-maintenance cap seals.
The guidance system employs 64mm diameter vee-wheels as standard or 95mm
versions for higher loads. The base unit incorporates single edge
commercial vee-slides mounted on the beam, with the slides positioned at
the outer beam edges. Between the two slides is a continuous 50mm wide
AT20 belt, attached to the moving carriage; a 75mm belt can be specified
for tougher applications.
