Nanotechnology Coating Is An Easier Alternative To Iron Phosphating

Iron phosphating with subsequent passivation has been the standard process for the treatment of metal surfaces prior to painting. Now, Henkel has introduced a 'nanoceramic' coating process that is claimed to be far superior to this traditional method. Bonderite NT coatings can be applied at room temperature and are suitable as a surface pre-treatment for all conventional powder and wet paint applications. No subsequent passivation is required, thereby eliminating a complete process step. It is particularly fast, with most parts being treated in only 20 seconds.
