Loctite S Cure In Seconds One-Part Adhesives

Loctite's cure in seconds one-part adhesives
Eight new one-part adhesives, which cure in seconds on exposure to UV
light, are now available from Loctite. The range includes flexible
products for gasketing and sealing, encapsulation, potting, wire tacking
and coil terminating. A variety of viscosity options is available for
bonding metals, rigid and flexible plastics, ceramics and glass. Cured
between three and 30 seconds, the adhesives remain liquid until exposed
to a UV light source with an intensity as low as 30W/cm².

Normally, light-curing adhesives require light to reach the entire bond
area, but the range includes products developed for shaded bond surfaces
and lightly tinted or UV blocked substrates, which have secondary curing
systems activated by heat, humidity or anaerobic action. Other adhesives
overcome potential stress cracking and long term yellowing of bond lines,
provide flexibility to increase shock resistance, and have a lubricity to
aid assembly.
