Heidenhain has increased the acceleration load capacity of its ROD 400
and ERN 400 series incremental rotary encoders. All ROD 400 units with a
cable exit can handle vibrations up to 300m/s2 and shock loads up to
2,000m/s2. The overall encoder length of both product ranges has been
reduced for all variants with a flange socket, and an improved shaft
clamping mechanism features a three-point clamping ring instead of a
single set-screw for improved mounting.
