Heidenhain Encoders Now Capable Of Higher Acceleration Loads

Heidenhain has increased the acceleration load capacity of its ROD 400 and ERN 400 series incremental rotary encoders. All ROD 400 units with a cable exit can handle vibrations up to 300m/s2 and shock loads up to 2,000m/s2. The overall encoder length of both product ranges has been reduced for all variants with a flange socket, and an improved shaft clamping mechanism features a three-point clamping ring instead of a single set-screw for improved mounting.
