Introducing Maplets

Introducing 'Maplets' Maple 8, the latest version of Waterloo Maple's maths software product introduces 'Maplets', a Java based technology that allows users to customise their graphical user interface. Maple applications created using Maplets enable users unfamiliar with the software to access its computational power via buttons, pop-down menus, dialogue boxes and other familiar GUI devices. The concept was originally released at the beginning of the year to experienced Maple users registered with Waterloo Maple's Internet based extended maintenance plan. Maple software is distributed and supported in the UK by Adept Scientific. Enter 296 Back to Software News June 2002
