Tecplot Adds High-End 3D Data Visualisation

Version 9.0 of Amtec's technical plotting software, Tecplot, now includes an interactive 3D slicing tool and iso-surface exploration tools, which allow rapid exploration of 3D data sets to determine variations in the field variables, uncover hidden anomalies and provide visual data analysis. The new version also renders 3D data up to 100 times faster than version 8.0, enabling plots of very large data sets and full rotation of rendered objects. Available from, and supported by Adept Scientific in the UK, Tecplot 9.0 can load and plot data organised in a variety of grid structures used in physics simulation programs such as fluid dynamics, electromagnetics and heat transfer. Data points can be arranged in multiple blocks of rectangular and body-fitted curvilinear grids, and unstructured finite element grids made up of triangles, quadrilaterals, prisms and bricks. The package can also interpolate random or irregular data into grid structures and even triangulate the data points.
