Harting has introduced a USB port that allows portable computer devices,
such as laptop PCs, printers and webcams, to be linked to industrial
networks and control systems in harsh environments. The Han-Brid
interface is mounted externally to the control cabinet wall and is sealed
to IP65 when connected, so there is no need to open the cabinet door to
connect a device. If nothing is connected, the IP65 rating is maintained
by using a standard housing cover.
