Legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes was spotted at the show searching for clues, handing out leaflets and questioning attendees regarding the whereabouts of the most intriguing, interesting or bizarre electrical installations using WAGO’s 221 series connector.
After being approached by WAGO, Sherlock’s interest in the case was immediately piqued when he noticed his first clue – that the 221 connector shares its name with his own address at 221B Baker Street. The connector is believed to be used in a wide range of different building projects, from residential properties all the way up to historic landmarks.
Paul Witherington, WAGO Marketing Manager UK & Ireland, explained: “Our 221 connector is one of our most popular products, and we believe it has been used in all sorts of diverse applications from castles to theme park rides. However once installed, it often remains hidden from view and maintenance-free inside cabinets and junction boxes. We know these connectors are used on interesting projects, and so we are looking to find out where they all are.”
The company is inviting electrical installers to submit the details of any projects they have worked on that utilise the connector, particularly those in which it has been used in unusual or creative ways, or in notable locations. Four holographic glass trophies will be awarded for the top four installations.
Sherlock Holmes will be back to resume the hunt at other trade shows and events later this year.
