The 1591 range of from Hammond Electronics is
now available with flanged lids, providing an easy means of securing them
to walls or bulkheads. The flanged lid extends beyond the periphery of
the enclosure body to provide two mounting flanges complete with four
countersunk holes. equipment is mounted inside the enclosure in the usual
way and the lid is attached using the four screws; the flanges are then
used to fix the enclosure in place.
Manufactured in black flame retardant ABS or low cost polystyrene, the
1591 comes in 13 sizes, ranging from 85x56x35mm to 120x120x90mm. Mounting
slots moulded into the base section accommodate 1.6mm thick PCBs in
vertical configuration, although an adaptor kit is available for
horizontal PCB mounting.
