Glacier's WH shaft sleeves can be used to provide a hardened,
wear-resistant surface with a ground finish on complex or fabricated
shafts, where it is difficult to machine or treat a journal for the
mounting of bearings and seals. Available from 25 to 150mm diameter, and
in various lengths, they require no further machining once they have been
press-fit to the turned shaft. The WH sleeves also provide an economical
method of recovering worn shafts. The damaged shaft is simply machined
and the sleeve installed by press or shrink fitting.
