New range of compression limiters

Spirol Industries has introduced the new CL101 and CL111 range of solid knurled compression limiters. They are designed to preserve the integrity of a plastic threaded joint when a metal bolt is inserted, preventing creep, loosening and eventual failure of the joint.

The CL101 is unheaded and the CL111 as a headed compression limiter. Both are available for M3 to M8 bolt sizes and in lengths of 3mm to 20mm to suit the length of the fastening. They are made from brass and can be either moulded or pressed into position.

The compression limiter absorbs the load when the bolt has been tightened to its recommended value. It isolates the plastic from any excessive compression loads with individual compression limiters having rated load levels from 2.20 to 17.04 kN.

All versions have square ends to ensure optimum contact with the mating surface and the knurl feature ensures excellent retention values. The headed CL111 version eliminates the need for a washer.
