Measurement Computing's PCI-DAS-TC thermocouple temperature measurement
system is capable of capturing values at the rate of 1kHz, thanks to
microprocessor based cold junction compensation and linearisation, and a
dual port RAM for high speed transmission of values back to the PC.
Available in the UK from Adept Scientific, the unit minimises errors due
to electronic noise by employing an integrating converter. The processor
allows the integration speed to be matched to the task: high speeds when
required and lower speeds with 400, 60 or 50hz power line noise rejection
are all software selectable. There are 16 differential thermocouple input
channels and one cold junction compensation channel. Thermocouple type is
selectable on a channel-by-channel basis, and all common types are
supported.
