Blind Riveting Tool Is Better By Design

The new Taurus range of blind riveting tools from Gesipa has a novel universal jaw mechanism that accommodates different sizes and types of rivet, and offers a precise guiding action to reduce the risk of jamming. Gripping pressure (via and air-hydraulic actuation system) is directly on the mandrel, the flange of the rivet being supported during the operational cycle. The tool will take blind rivets up to 8mm diameter and achieves a maximum force of 16,800N at 6bar. Other useful features include an undetectable recoil action to minimise operator fatigue, and a switched air-suction control that retains the rivet in the jaws when used vertically. Spent mandrels are automatically evacuated and collected in a container, which slots into the rear of the tool. Alternatively an extraction tube can be attached to convey spent mandrels to a remote collector. Back to January 2004 Menu
