MiniTec joint sponsoring New Product of the year (Aerospace)

The 2017 British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEAs) is an event very close to the hearts of MiniTec.

MiniTec designs and manufactures modular aluminium profile systems and accessories which can be used to construct a vast range of equipment from machine and equipment guarding, storage and transportation products and work stations and assembly lines. Being modular in construction gives MiniTec a high degree of flexibility in being able to work with the customer in order to deliver the most effective solution for the application.

The company is underlying its close interest and relationship with the aerospace industry by helping to sponsor the New Product of the year in the Aerospace category.

MiniTec has a great deal of experience at developing innovative products for the aerospace industry as this brief example describes:

Lean innovative solutions to improve efficiency

Making an operation lean – and it need not be restricted to a manufacturing operation – is all about the elimination of wastage in a process leading to greater efficiencies, shorter delivery times of a product or service, and a reduction in unnecessary costs to the operation.

The Engineering and Maintenance Division of a well-known UK based airline group discovered an enormously time wasteful part of the traditional working practice.

The introduction of simple, ergonomically designed mobile workstations solved quite simply the old problem of the maintenance engineers not having a workstation close by and having to waste a lot of time walking back and forth to the very few computer equipped workstations located around the perimeter of the large hangar.
