Renold has launched a new poly-steel chain that requires no lubrication, has no metal-on-metal contact and is therefore able to operate even if submerged under water. The new Syno PC Chain is an addition to Renold’s extensive range of Syno chain products designed for applications where lubrication is either difficult or undesirable.
The chain is made up of a special tough polymer inner link with pins and outer plates made of high-grade stainless steel. The polymer links make the chain lighter, easier to clean, less wearing on sprockets and quieter when machinery is running. It will solve maintenance problems on applications where an all-metal chain is not the best option, such as in certain areas of the food and drinks industries, pharmaceuticals, electronics, printing and clean rooms.
