Polymer Textile Embossing Using Ultrasonics

Forward Technology has developed a method of embossing logos, motifs and lettering on soft foam polymers or polymer based textiles, using a Rinco MP202 ultrasonic welding machine. The embossing is produced by a special sonotrode made from titanium and a profiled anvil, which incorporates the required embossing pattern. A single embossing operation is achieved in less than one second.
