Portable hydraulic multi-meter

Webtec Products, a manufacturer of specialist hydraulic test equipment and components, based in Cambridgeshire, has seen strong demand from its Asian customers for the latest design of portable hydraulic multi-meter. Sales to customers across Asia, including Turkey, India and China, have accounted for over 15% of all sales worldwide of the new DHM ‘3’ series digital hydraulic multi-meter. This is despite the relatively low per capita income of these countries compared to EU and US markets; the traditional markets which account for the vast majority of all product sales for Webtec. Customers in Asia have consistently asked for the ‘latest design’ and regularly shunned simpler, lower-cost mechanical test equipment in favour of the higher accuracy, feature-rich, digital models.

The DHM ‘3’ series is a portable instrument, aimed at providing hydraulic technicians with an invaluable tool for diagnosing hydraulic systems; for example, on construction and agricultural machinery, in much the same way as an electrician would rely on an electric multi-meter. The ‘all-in-one’ design includes a built-in loading valve with built-in safety protection and means the hydraulic technician just needs to take one tool on-site, not a case-load of different sensors. The DHM ‘3’ series can measure flow, pressure, peak pressure, temperature, power and volumetric efficiency and runs on a 9V battery. Designed to offer ‘laboratory’ accuracy, it is housed in a rugged steel case to protect it when used in the harsh construction and agricultural environments.
