Identifying Brand Names Associated with Power Jacks

Power Jacks has a long engineering history at its Fraserburgh plant and consequently there are several brand names found on its supplied products that may not be immediately recognisable.

The factory has been sited at Fraserburgh since 1903 and jack manufacture first started in the 1930s. Since then, Power Jacks product range has grown to include screw jacks, linear actuators, bevel gearboxes and planetary roller screws. However, during the 105 years that the factory has been manufacturing, a variety of brand names have been used on the company’s products, including:

- Consolidated Pneumatic
- Premag
- Duff-Norton
- Precision Actuation Systems (PAS)
- Fortune Engineering
- Neeter Drive
- Youngs Lifting

Since 2002 PAS, Neeter Drive, Fortune Engineering and Youngs Lifting have been part of the Power Jacks Group and products are branded accordingly. Although Premag and Consolidated Pneumatic models are consigned to the history books, Power Jacks still manufacture linear motion products for Duff-Norton.

If you have a product such as a screw jack, linear actuator or bevel gearbox with one of these trade names and need to upgrade to a new unit, then Power Jacks can still supply an interchangeable unit in most cases. With all upgrades, you also benefit from the numerous design improvements that have been continuously made to the product ranges over the years.
