Festo has introduced a family of pneumatic solenoid valves that meets the new ISO 15407 standard for heavy-duty industrial applications (the new ISO standard being the internationalised version of VDMA 24 563). The VSVA Series valves feature a single, low-profile connector in the centre of the valve body, providing a control signal interface for all valves, whether they are single- or double-solenoid types. This approach reduces the profile of the electrical connection - and the number of connections that have to be made - minimising the possibility of accidental damage. Both 02 (1/8in BSP port) and 01 (1/4in BSP port) sizes are offerd, proving flow rates of 500 and 1,000 litre/min respectively.
