Festo's new DGC range of rodless pneumatic cylinders are available in six
cylinder sizes, from 8 to 40mm diameter. Capable of travelling at speeds
of up to 3m/s, the largest cylinders in the family will carry loads of up
to 50kg and accommodate forces of up to 7,000N and torque levels to
380Nm. Festo claims its new design offers the same long life expectancies
of conventional rodded cylinders as well as offering much enhanced
sealing performance, thanks to a novel zip-like seal mechanism.
