Festo pleases the 'miniaturists'
The extremely compact Smart Cubic Valve CPV-SC valve terminal from Festo
has a cross-section of just 40mm by 40mm and a grid of 10mm, yet it is
capable of flow rates as high as 150 litre/min. Targeted at OEMs seeking
the ultimate in pneumatics miniaturisation, the Smart Cubic Valve can be
configured with four, eight or 12 valve positions. It provides two
electrical connectors located at the side of the unit to save even more
space: a D-sub profile type for advanced functions and a conventional
flat style connector for wider industrial compatibility. The valve's
small dimensions enable mounting in close proximity to actuators, while
its low mass permits mounting on moving elements.
