Achieving the IoT in less than six minutes

The IoT start-up Cybus kicks off its new Connectware bundle for industrial manufacturers, to host an own Industry 4.0 use-case in under six minutes.

Industry 4.0, even though still a bit of a blurry term, has to be as easy and simple as possible according to Cybus. The start-up from Hamburg, Germany, is developing a Connectware to digitise industrial production devices through plug-and-play. For that, Cybus now provides a specially designed tool-box for companies to start tracking data and analysing it in less than six minutes. The nearly two-year-old company created a fully self-operating software solution to retrieve any data needed from machines and redirect it through a secured API to digital IoT services, such as remote monitoring or predictive maintenance services.

But how does it work? Manufacturing shop floors simply plug three tiny measuring devices on any device and start collecting insights about the machine uptime, power consumption, historical insights different machine states and more. Based on simple values from power metering. The data is being processed into the IIoT dashboard of French Industry 4.0 studio OptimData. Therefore, in the moment of connecting the power meters, data will be shifted, collected and analysed in the dashboard without allowing unauthorised access from outside the premises.
