igus will be presenting its range of flexible bus cables, which are capable of high-speed data transmission in highly dynamic applications, at The Machine Building Drives & Automation 2008 exhibition (Birmingham NEC, February 13-14). Chainflex includes FireWire, USB and GigE cables, plus fibre optic cables that are capable of transmitting data over distances of up to several hundred metres. All igus Chainflex cables are suitable for installation within the company’s energy chain products, which also feature at the show.
These include the easy snap-open E2/000 energy chains, with lids that can be opened from the left or right. Samples of the company’s extremely low noise E6 chain will also be on show, in addition to its energy chain made from igumid HT polymer, which will not melt even when subjected to hot weld splashes of up to 850°C.
