Considerable expansion and investment in business in 2016

Precision Acoustics specialises in the research and development of ultrasound test equipment used in the QA of medical devices, to provide industry with ultrasonic NDT and within academia and national measurement institutes throughout the world.

Managing Director Gary Livingstone is pleased to be able to announce some very positive developments to the business which only recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.

“Our workshop and stores are being revamped to improve productivity and lead-times. This move is being driven by the growth in the business but especially that of our exports which currently account for over 80 percent of our business.

In addition we are investing over £100K in new test and manufacturing equipment to ensure we maintain and improve this crucial part of our activity.”

An increase in recruitment of new staff is always a most welcome piece of news to the local community and underlines the continued growth in the company and the need to future-protect the needs of the business. Positions recruited during 2016 include a software developer and Project Manager and a Science Apprentice. On the administration front an Office Administrator, Shipping Clerk and Finance Assistant have also been added to the expanding team at Precision Acoustics, all of whom will contribute to improving overall levels of customer service.
