The Wavo spring has been added to TFC’s range of Smalley edge coiled wave
springs. Designed to fit into tight radial and axial spaces, it requires
75% less radial space than the Belleville spring it replaces, yet is able
to deliver high force loading with greater deflection rates while
retaining dimensional stability. Springs are available in carbon and
stainless steels, in diameters from 12 to 150mm. Special designs,
manufactured via an economic, ‘no-tooling’ cost process, is available in
small prototype or batch production quantities up to 2,000mm in diameter.
