Farnell has added a new range of push-through, heat-shrink glands to its
electronic components catalogue. The Raychem FTS units are flameproof and
sealed against bulkheads via an O-ring. The internal contact surfaces are
impregnated with part-cured adhesive; hot air application shrinks the
gland over the cable and melts the adhesive to provide an IP68 seal. The
range covers glands from 4.6mm to 19.1mm diameter (shrunk), with bulkhead
diameters of 25.4mm and 50.8mm respectively.
