Circuit breakers take flight

Aerco holds stock of a wide range of E-T-A circuit breakers designed specifically to provide electrical safety on all types of military and civil aircraft and meet the demands of the aerospace industry.

E-T-A has long experience of supplying breakers that have high interrupt capacity and tolerance to adverse conditions combined with the small physical size and low weight essential for use in the confines of aircraft and aerospace vehicles.

Extremely rugged, E-T-A circuit breakers are designed to operate in temperatures that may vary between -55°C and +125°C during a single flight. In addition, they have a high level of vibration and shock resistant (up to 75g) enabling them to withstand the turbulence and impact of heavy landings experienced in all types of aircraft.

In addition to temperature compensated thermal aircraft circuit breakers, E-T-A also supplies remote controlled circuit breakers (RCCBs) that significantly reduce the amount of heavy cabling installed through the aircraft.

E-T-A circuit breakers are designed to comply with, and are certified to, the most demanding standards of the industry including the latest EN standards and those established by defence agencies in many countries including Germany and the USA. They are QPL-listed in many NATO countries and Sweden and meet VG, LTF and LN requirements. In addition, E-T-A holds A1 Primary Company Approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority.

Many international aircraft manufacturers, including Boeing, Lockheed, DASA, Airbus Industrie, British Aerospace, Raytheon, IPTN and Eurocopter, have awarded vendor approvals to E-T-A.
