Schmersal's new R-Series range of modular control devices and indicator lights offers increased functionality, better use of space and ease of assembly. The modular components, which have been designed for the 22.3 mm industrial standard, include contact elements, contact holders, mounting flanges and operating/display elements. Together they provide greater functionality, allowing designers to create illuminated and non-illuminated pushbuttons, momentary-contact twist switches, selector switches, key-operated switches and indicator lights.
Individual devices are assembled by connecting the actuating head to the mounting flange located under the front plate. The required contact and illuminated elements are then snapped onto the contact holder and both modules (mounting flange and contact holder) are connected by means of the integrated contact securing elements.
The R-Series is IP65-rated to provide protection in the most extreme ambient conditions, even during frequent activation over long periods. ATEX-rated versions are also available for potentially explosive environments.
