Belt up

OKW has introduced a belt/wall clip accessory for its Soft-Case series, which allows these enclosures to be worn on a belt and then stored on a wall, or in a cabinet, after use. The part allows the enclosures to be used for mobile electronics that are worn by different users and then returned to storage.

The belt/wall clip kit consists of three moulded parts: the belt clip and mounting boss which are fitted to the enclosure, and the wall holder. The belt clip can slide out for access to the battery compartment, and is designed to slide into the wall holder, which can be easily mounted to a wall or inside a cabinet.

The new clip accessory is moulded in off-white, lava grey and black ABS, and can be fitted to any other plastic enclosure with a minimum wall thickness of 4mm. If the wall thickness is less than 4mm then a washer must be used.

Soft-Case enclosures are available in three standard sizes from 82 x 51 x 14mm to 117 x 73 x 24mm. The cases are moulded off-white or lava grey ABS, or infra-red black PMMA. Three types of battery compartment are offered which will accept two 1.5V (AAA), two 1.5V (AA) or one 9V cells. The top part has a wide recessed area for locating the display or membrane keypad, and a raised panel on the long edge of the base part is provided for USB, power or serial connectors and controls.
