A new partnership amalgamates the strengths Harting's expertise in producing and marketing Ethernet network solutions for industrial automation, and Nexans knowhow in the development of hardware
and software for office applications. The concept of the partnership's Automation IT project, which aims to facilitate the seamless, end-to-end provision of data in communications networks, will see the merging of office IT and industrial systems to deliver high efficiency and maximum transparency.
Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will sell network components independently of one another - Harting under the name mCON 10000 and Nexans under the heading of iSwitch H300/500.
