Brushless DC motor with integrated control & electronics

Dunkermotoren’s BG rotary brushless motor provides an output power of over 1kW in a compact unit incorporating all power and control electronics.

The BG 95 CI features an integrated CANopen interface to enable easy integration into a CANopen network and this, along with voltage variants from 24 up to 60 VDC, makes it an ideal drive solution for a wide range of applications.

The BG 95 CI provides the benefits of permanent output of 1100W along with sophisticated algorithms which calculate the temperature of the windings and the semi-conductors in advance. This means that the drive can be temporarily overloaded by up to 3x its continuous power, without the risk of damage.

The integrated CANopen interface provides the benefits of compatibility with DS402 (cf. IEC 61800-7) and user-friendly, quick start instructions. To enable easy installation the motor is equipped with standard flange and standard shaft according to DIN EN 50347 and a robust plug. CAN IN and CAN OUT connectors are separate, which eliminates the need for an additional external T-piece.

Thanks to its robust design and voltage variants, the BG 95 CI is suitable for not only battery applications but it also offers an alternative drive solution in situations where currently hydraulics are used. It can be used with planetary and worm gearboxes as well as with encoders and brakes. The option of an IP65 ‘weather-proofed’ version is also available on request.

The motor is available in two compact sizes of 95 x 40mm and 95 x 80mm (length & width) and represents an important addition to the existing range of Dunkermotoren motors with its increased power output. As a result, it provides an effective drive solution across a range of applications including; industrial automation, automated logistics storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), automated guided vehicles (AGV’s), solar applications and medical engineering.
