Mustang Marine, meanwhile, has chosen E-T-A's series 1170 thermal over-current circuit breakers for equipment (CBE) to protect navigational and communications equipment aboard the Ocean Dynamics designed 'Ribworker 35'. This open rigid inflatable boat (RIB) will take part in the Arnold & Son Transatlantic Arctic Challenge 2003 Expedition with the aim of being the first vessel of its kind to cross the northern Atlantic via the Arctic Circle. In total, there will be around 25 double-pole circuits, each protected independently by a CBE. The 1170s were chose for their light weight, compact and robust design. They are easily plugged into a double row of bus bars, which will be DIN rail mounted and housed in an IP67 protected casing in the console. A duplicate bus bar with CBEs is included to provide emergency standby feed to essential equipment.
