Remote power controller both protects and signals
The 700 Series version of E-T-A's E-1048 solid state remote power
controller is a plug-in switching device that provides both circuit
protection and signalling of fault conditions. Features include in-rush
current protection and wire-break monitoring, in addition to over-current
and short-circuit protection.
The device can be used to monitor the load circuit in a process control
application involving the switching of motors and solenoids, as well as
providing power amplification for PLC outputs in factory automation.
Depending on which model is chosen from the series, the monitoring
functions include wire-break signalling, circuit 'on' or 'off' indication
and fault storage.
