Cromwell’s Donington Park Event opens to the public for the first time

Industrial products specialist Cromwell Tools is to host an action-packed supplier expo, to be held at the Donington Park race-track near Derby.

The Event 2016, taking place on 14-15 September, will give engineers, technicians, purchasing and workshop staff the chance to learn about industry trends and technical innovations. For the first time in 2016, the event will be open to the public who can register for and attend the event.

More than 130 manufacturers will be in attendance, with key technology areas including cutting, power and hand tools; welding; fasteners; safety and workshop equipment. The exhibition will be supported by industry bodies such as the CBI, Midlands Aerospace Alliance, the British Safety Industry Federation and Lloyds Bank, and there will be conference sessions with guest speakers from the world of business and sport. There will also be a series of fun activities, such as race-track sessions.

“We’ve used the Twitter hashtag #Yourultimatetoolbox as this two-day expo gives our customers the chance to meet around 125 world-class suppliers of industrial products all under one roof,” says Matt Cattell, organising director of The Event. “In return, the exhibitors get to talk to knowledgeable end-users who value technical innovation as a means of improving the competitiveness of their businesses.”

The Event 2016 isn’t just all about business, though as Matt explains. “We want people to come along and experience an exciting day out so we use the great facilities on site and will be putting on interactive experiences.”

More than 2,500 industrially-focused visitors are expected to attend The Event 2016.
