CompAir has extended its 100% oil-free compressor range with the launch of a new 110kW water injected machine. The new DH110-SR compressor is a speed regulated, water injected screw model, extending CompAir’s oil-free DH range from 15-110kW. As with all CompAir’s oil-free DH compressors, it complies with the stringent requirements of ISO8573, class 0.
Jeremy Sykes, managing director at CompAir, commented: “We introduced the DH110-SR compressor in response to customer demand for a medium-sized, water injected, variable speed machine. Previously, the DH series offered compressors from 15-75kW. Even though the new machine has only just launched, we have already seen a great deal of customer interest, which indicates there was a gap in the market for a compressor of this type and size.”
With no oil being used anywhere in the compressor at all, and water lubricated bearings, there is no possible risk of oil contamination and no environmental costs associated with oil disposal. With many manufacturing applications needing high-quality ‘active’ air that comes into direct contact with a process, CompAir’s oil-free compressors may be ideal.
